Selinsgrove went 13-1-1 under Derek Hicks. District 4 lists the Seals as the 2023-24 Class 4A champion. The season ended Dec. 1 with a 32-52 loss to Aliquippa.
The only blemish before that was a 21-21 tie with Jersey Shore on Sept. 8. The Seals beat Shikellamy 54-14 in September and 58-10 in the playoffs, and beat Jersey Shore 44-19 in the district bracket.
On senior night, Oct. 20, Tucker Teats ran 17 times for 265 yards and three touchdowns and caught a 45-yard score in a 35-7 win over Montoursville at Bolig Field. EasternPAFootball wrote that he broke the school season records for touchdowns, points, and rushing touchdowns. The story does not print the old numbers.
