Selinsgrove Football 2020 Season

PA Football News lists 2020 at 4-4 under Derek Hicks, and 3-3 in the league. MaxPreps lists the same 4-4 and the same 3-3.

Cody Smith's EasternPAFootball story, dated Sept. 26, has Shamokin winning 16-0 on Friday night at Harold L. Bolig Memorial Stadium. The dateline is Selinsgrove, and the headline calls it a road shutout. Derek Hicks said the long drives took eight to ten minutes the offense did not get back. Coy Bastian finished 9 of 30 for 93 yards. Brett Foor caught four passes for 53. Shamokin held Selinsgrove to 101 yards. The Seals fell to 1-2. Shamokin's quarters were 14, 2, 0, and 0.

On Oct. 23 at Kemp Memorial Stadium, Selinsgrove won 20-7. The athletics account posted the next day, and saved by the Internet Archive, says Brett Foor was on crutches, so juniors Nate Aument and Conner Grover played outside. Shamokin threw for 72 yards. Teague Hoover scored from the Shamokin 34, and Brandon Hile scored from the 2 after a 52-yard pass from Coy Bastian to Ryan Aument. The extra point was missed, and it was 13-0 at the half. Max Madden's 61-yard run made it 13-7. Coy Bastian scored from the 2 with 8:45 left. Selinsgrove was 4-3 and had clinched home field for the District 4 Class 4A semifinal.

MaxPreps has the Oct. 30 playoff at home as a 0-15 loss to Shamokin, and the final record at 4-4. The other scores on that schedule: Sept. 11 at Milton, 42-6; Sept. 18 against Central Mountain, 3-7; Oct. 2 against Jersey Shore, 0-33; Oct. 9 at Shikellamy, 28-0; Oct. 16 against Central Mountain, 9-7.
