Selinsgrove wins the 2009 state title, 10-7
16-0 under Dave Hess. Manheim Central, Hersheypark Stadium, Dec. 18.
The 2009 Seals did not lose. Dave Hess's team went 16-0, won the District 4 3A title, and on Dec. 18 beat Manheim Central 10-7 at Hersheypark Stadium.
The alumni association calls it the first football state title in school history, and the first for a District 4 team in the top two classes. The week before, MaxPreps has Selinsgrove beating Archbishop Wood 28-0. The full 16-game list is on the 2009 season page.
Matt Wenrich, the current head coach, is on the team photo the alumni association published with that hall of fame class.
