Marlin Van Horn

Marlin Van Horn, class of 1976, was all-conference every year he played and the defensive MVP as a junior and a senior. The alumni hall of fame says he set school marks in solo tackles, total tackles, and sacks, made Scholastic Magazine's All-America team in 1975, was second-team all-state at linebacker, and played in the Big 33 game.

He took a football scholarship to Maryland under Jerry Claiborne, lettered four years, played in four bowl games, and captained the 1980 team. That year he was All-Atlantic Coast Conference as a defensive lineman. The hall of fame does not print the tackle totals.
